Hotels in Dhaka and other cities of Bangladesh

October 23, 2014

For average 3 star facilities Bangladesh offers relatively cheaper hotels compared to other Asian countries. However in 2 star category or just neat clean AC, it is difficult to find out. For comparison, in Kuala Lumpur you could get a decent AC room with clean attached toilet for around 20 US Dollar. But you could not get same facility in Dhaka with that price.

Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation, also known as Bangladesh Tourism Board, has some accommodation facilities that are of 2 start standard and their price could be worked as benchmark. Besides, in many districti, these are the highest standard hotel accommodation.

You may search on google using the keywords – hotels dhaka Bangladesh and will find lots of information. It is advised to look into the review in the sites like tripadvisor, lonelyplaent, agoda etc.

Accomodation in all around Bangladesh including distant upazillas: One good way to find accommodation or hotels for stay in different parts of Bangladesh is to look into web portal developed by Bangladesh govt for districts, upazillas, even unions. Most of these sites are in Bangla, so foreigners need to use online translate service like Google translate to translate such websites. Here goes the link of web portals of different districts:

For example, list of hotels in Sylhet district is provided in Sylhet district web portal developed by Bangladesh Govt:
